So, the other day I was finally going through a box of (my) things that I had emptied out of her apartment. It contained mostly a bunch of odds and ends and some paperwork (notes, letters, books, etc...).
I was going through and throwing things out when I came across a letter addressed to her from her medical clinic. It was the results of her STD tests. She is positive for herpes 2, and the date on the test was from last May.
Our r/s has been over for two months! She didn't even tell me about this! And yes, of course, we were (very) sexually active. Out of the God knows how many other guys she's been with, who knows where or when she picked up that little gift, but for months she knew about this and exposed me to it without telling me.
I have had no symptoms, but immediately went down and got tested anyway and THANK GOD everything is negative. I don't know how, because we were busier than rabbits, but I definitely dodged another (and hopefully the last) bullet.
PSA portion: PLEASE BE CAREFUL OUT THERE FOLKS! These people cheat with whoever they want whenever they want with no thought of consequences. Get yourself tested, get them tested, and demand to see the results yourself.
