So after a long time on the leaving board.  Trying to detach and let go I decided to

Remain in limited contact with her.  She had been the most powerful inspiration in my life.  I accept she has the disorder. I accept it will not be a relationship how had once dreamed but she inspires me.  I accept things as they are. I will not tolerate any none sense on her behalf.  She is my muse she inspired me to find and accept myself break my delusions. I will respect my space that I need for myself.  I will process the emotions. And grow.

I was the one that needed saving and she inspired me to save myself.

Really interesting post BlimBlam. My dBPDw also inspired me to grow in many ways throughout our 20+ year marriage. Then the responsibility of having kids inspired me even more. These forces combined to help me stop drinking and smoking too much and get serious about my professional life. These are all things for which I'm grateful.
