Looking for recommendations regarding DBT for me. What has worked best for you? On-line, books, classes, etc.?

Hi bluejeans, 

DBT can be really expensive and some insurance policies do not cover DBT.

I started practicing DBT through reading books/journal articles. Some books are more geared toward clinicians/professions and use a lot of technical jargon.  Others focus more on practicing mindfulness, which is one of the major portions of DBT.

I am still working on mindfulness and many of the DBT techniques.  It can take awhile to master some of the techniques.  Usually, standard DBT programs last about 24 weeks.

So far I have less anxiety, more focus, and can handle stress more effectively.  Overall, DBT is good stuff.
