I'm having a ridiculously stressful morning related to being a bridesmaid to my cousins OCD wife. Everything that could go wrong has. And I text my pwBPD at 5:30 am. Just a smiley face.

He instantly asks if everything is okay. I lightly explain the situation to him, I've learned to not lean on him too much. And yet he's empathetic and then asks if I'll be okay or do I need him to call. I thank him and simply tell him I miss him.

It's a sweet moment. One that doesn't usually happen too often. But just enough that I'm grateful for it and feel pangs of love towards him.

He isn't capable of doing much, but just that expression of empathy is incredibly validating.

Very happy for you. Celebrate the good things that come your way. It's easy to overlook, but it does matter.
