They offered her the job a couple days ago. She told them she can start next June when the kids get out of school, but they said they will not hold the position that long.   

Should have put this one on the list, I could have got myself something else!

 

roflmao maaaaaaan... .I never thought of that possibility! Hold the job for months... .gees... .

Ever heard the phrase, "It is not about the having, it is about the getting"?

I really think this is what it is all about. She wants someone to tell her she has some value (by offering a job in this case) to make up for never hearing it from her parents. She often applies for jobs and volunteer positions, gets overly excited when they are offered, then does not take them.

Validation: Getting a job offer is great. You really know that you have value. It is like winning. Feels great. Committing and working has it ups and downs. What I like is when I connect to people at work one or the other will give me a positive feeling every day. That is quite nice.
