Mirroring?

Just wondered if anyone else had had an experience with the BPD partner mirroring your ex partner?

I thought it was just coincidences that my bf seems to like all the same things my ex partner likes!

When we first met instead of asking me lots of questions about me he primarily wanted to know about my ex, even down to the clothes he wore.

When we recently spent time together he was describing himself and his future ambitions and it could have been my ex talking!

Anyone else encountered this?

Yes, he mirrored me and he is mirroring the gf. He even picked up her southern accent! It's what a narcissist does... .not sure if BPD's all do it. I suppose the anti- socials do it too.
