Got a call from the social worker at the hospital today and she suggested a DBT program in another county (the one I've been working on for 3 years) that may be able to take DD. It starts as inpatient, then moves to a group home setting, then into "supervised" apartments, with a goal of eventual independent living. I told her to speak to DD's CM, but I was all for it. I just don't want her to lose any of the services she's receiving now.
DD called later in the day asking my opinion. I told her I thought DBT was a good idea, but that she and CM needed to talk it through first. So maybe, just maybe, we're on our way to DBT. Finally.
