Got a  call from the social worker at the hospital today and she suggested a DBT program in another county (the one I've been working on for 3 years) that may be able to take DD.  It starts as inpatient, then moves to a group home setting, then into "supervised" apartments, with a goal of eventual independent living.  I told her to speak to DD's CM, but I was all for it.  I just don't want her to lose any of the services she's receiving now.

DD called later in the day asking my opinion.  I told her I thought DBT was a good idea, but that she and CM needed to talk it through first.  So maybe, just maybe, we're on our way to DBT.  Finally.   smiley

That is encouraging, dear momoftwo...!

It also sounds like you didn't bowl your daughter over with all kinds of fanfare when she asked for your opinion; I think it's good that you made sure to include her CM's input as important.

I admire your tenacity and restraint, and hope that things go toward a positive direction for you both.
