Title: Need advice on finding a good Inpatient Residential program with DBT
Post by: TiredMudder on September 26, 2020, 07:21:46 AM
Hello,  I have been searching for a residential dual diagnosis program for my 20 yr old daughter for a solid week.  There are tons of great Rehabs, but not too many that focus on BPD as a dual issue.  I need a program to help her live with this!  Many say they do DBT therapy, but when you press them  on it, they are not certified and actually not a real DBT program.  I have found a few, very expensive, and also have really poor reviews - Memminger in TX, Talbott Recover in GA.  I cant stomach the thought of sending her somewhere with such terrible reviews.  Does anyone have any experience finding a place?  I'm not expecting her to be "cured" as I know this is a life long challenge.  But my hopes are that after a 90 day program she will be clean from addiction, and  have some good skills to cope with her BPD... and we can follow up with more DBT therapy as an ongoing life skill.  I am willing to send her ANYWHERE in the US.  We have good private insurance.  HELP please!

Hello.  You could try McLean hospital. In Boston.  Not sure if they take insurance. You can call and check it out.  Good luck.  Sending hugggss.

Hi,
Not sure if this will help but one of our members compiled a list for residential therapeutic center considerations
