Title: Ghosted by mom
Post by: caughtnreleased on March 24, 2017, 10:28:47 PM
So ghosting... .apparently that's what some people do in dating - it's what my mother does to me.
She had coupons so I could book a vacation. Told me she'd send them to me before she left on vacation. She didn't. She leaves on vacation. She started sending group emails about her trip to family members, including me. I write her about the coupons. No answer. More emails about the trip. I email again. Still no answer - more emails about the trip.

I've been ghosted... .fun times.

Well *technically* you aren't being ghosted if you're getting emails  . This seems worse: passive aggressive silent treatment.

You know your mother.  Do you think not sending the coupons was an oversight rather than vindictive, and due to her mental capacity/capabilities she's avoiding?

Yes exactly. It was an oversight which she is unable to admit to so she avoids. Instead she's now triangulating with my father -  he is communicating with me now through her email address. Let me tell you this is a real mind f--k.
