Title: your friends do not judge you
Post by: jambley on June 27, 2017, 07:51:27 PM
I just wanted to say that your friends, your true friends know you and know the score with what you have been through. They will not judge you, they will not pry or ask questions, but they are able to listen and there is no harm in speaking out if you need to. They will not judge you. Hold onto your friends.

Hi jambley,

You're right.  It is important to hold onto those that truly know you and are fully aware of the situation.  After going through domestic violence I became very paranoid about everyone judging me and questioning my reasons for being with this man.  You can almost hear onlookers in their heads asking 'why did she stay?'  Even my own family I felt distanced from and it was thanks to a couple of really great friends that I pulled myself through the hell that was my reality.  People who are removed from the situation can't possibly understand the complexities of a BPD relationship, the emotional turmoil, the FOG and it was those friends' support that made such a huge difference to me in getting out and starting to rebuild myself slowly.  Their encouragement and non judgement meant the world to me and still does now.  I feel blessed to have them.

Love and light x
