Title: Mother Had BPD
Post by: CosmicNun on January 24, 2021, 05:56:00 PM
I've just recently (within the past month) discovered BPD as what my mother had and have been able to relieve myself of a lot of grief. I'm so grateful to have discovered all this and have found some of the books available on BPD to be especially helpful.

My mother died in 2015, and we were never close, so working with all of this is a solo journey for me. I've been estranged from my family for fifteen years and have found that to be better than trying to have relationships with them.

It's an incredible relief to find books, community and understanding regarding the BPD journey, especially in regards to having a BPD parent. I'm truly glad to be here.

hi Cosmicnun,
welcome

What do you think made you seek out answers after your mother's death?  I understand the need to find answers, and also have been estranged from most of my family at one point (it lasted almost 7 years), although I am currently LC with my BPD'd mom.

Please post more when you're comfortable.

Glad you are here.
