Title: Dealing with love bombing
Post by: Laura Lou on February 18, 2024, 06:15:24 AM
My spouse tells me I am the most important person in his life, how wonderful I am, etc.  Then the next day or week, he will be so degrading towards me in his words, that I don’t know which to believe.

We have chosen to separate ourselves from his mother because she was so emotionally abusive to him as a child.  He is very much like her.

Hello and *welcome*

You're in good company here with other members wanting to improve their relationships with pwBPD (persons with BPD). Often, the ways to improve are counterintuitive, so it helps to get some targeted feedback, as general relationship advice (like "just try to explain yourself better") frequently doesn't help and can actually make things worse.

How long have you and your spouse been married? And do you have any kids?

Looking forward to learning more about your situation;
