Title: Newly diagnosed adult child with BPD Post by: Baystateparent on August 25, 2023, 06:19:45 PM Our older daughter has been struggling for a long time, and was recently diagnosed with BPD. We are looking for treatments for her, and are currently considering sending her to a residential treatment facility. We are looking for advice on that front, and also more generally as to how we can help her.

You and your family must have been through a lot, to have an adult daughter just now getting a diagnosis after years of struggles. How is everyone coping with her receiving the diagnosis? Is she accepting of it? It's great that you are supportive of her getting treatment.
