In the context of the song, it doesn't work. However, it helps me refocus on what's important: healing. There are days when the pain is still very much present in my life and it seems impossible to keep moving forward, until I remember that pain is only temporary. I'm taking steps to be a more emotionally healthy person and trying prevent another relationship with a borderline. THAT is what is important. Sometimes the lesson is obfuscated by the pain, but there is a silver lining to this suffering.

This has always been a favorite of mine:
