Title: Please Pray
Post by: seh77 on February 07, 2014, 01:00:01 PM
My Dad was put into Hospice last night.  My dBPDgf has been pretty good so far.  Usually in situations that require my attention she normally tries to create some drama to put it all on her.  She has only made one remark about not having sex.

Please pray that everything will go as smooth as it can.  I have already lost all of my grandparents and mom.  Now my Dad is fighting for his life.  I am so frazzled right now.

I just had to say something.  :'(

Sorry to hear it.  I haven't lost either of my parents but I'm at an age where my friends are starting to lose theirs and I know it's inevitable and I'll feel alone, older, and scared... . and of course, having a sick parent is a lot to deal with.  And the fact that you are put under more pressure by her, rather than her supporting you, is doubly hard.  You don't need that right now.  You need all the support you can get.  I wonder if you are worried about saying the wrong thing to her, even something just asking her to give you a break, and she will hold it against you.  It's really unfair that you have to worry about that at this trying time.  I'm sure you are a great supporter of your parents and are doing the best you can for everyone around you - so hang in there.  I will pray for your dad, but just as much for you!  In the end, you really deserve someone supportive in your life.
