Title: How can i help my neice
Post by: Nancy jane on February 25, 2017, 06:00:12 PM
My 12 year old neice has been made to leave home by my sister who has BPD. If i challenge the BPD she will increase her rage with her daughter.

Title: Where should we home this member?

Hello Nancy jane and welcome to bpdfamily

I'm so sorry to hear your niece has been made to leave her home, is she safe with you or her father? You're in a difficult position, she lucky to have you as an Aunt, though appreciate the toll on you. Has this happened before, are there other children and are you and your niece receiving support from children's services?

You've come to the right place for support and understanding.

We are here to help you on the journey. How is your niece coping, she must be devastated?

WDx

My sister lives 650 miles from me. Womens aid have been involved but not social services as yet. I dont want to instigate this myself as i would possibly loose my relationship with her for good. There are friends and her church family supporting her but i dont think they get shown her BPD behaviour. That is kept for her estranged husband children and immediate family. I have suggested counselling to no avail.
