Title: So Much for Amicable...FIL Now Involved Post by: toomanydogs on November 24, 2017, 10:16:35 AM Before I post, let me assure everyone here I am doing really well. I had an incredible Thanksgiving yesterday with my family. I am no longer experiencing crying jags, and I no longer having such difficulty sleeping. However... .
My FIL is now involved. Even that, I suppose I could put a positive spin on, as once he got involved any emotional investment I may have had in my marriage and the life I had within that marriage has disappeared. In its place is one determined ol' lady, who is ready to dig down as deep as she needs to dig in order to protect herself. Luckily, I seem to have a lawyer who is fighting on my behalf. I trust my lawyer, and that is high praise coming from me. I got burned badly on lawyers in the past, so trusting that I now have one who will be on my side and fight has taken an incredible burden off my shoulders. However... . With FIL involved, it is unlikely that much of anything will be amicable from here on out. Sigh. TMD |
