Title: Hello
Post by: Brano on September 16, 2015, 10:10:57 AM
New here. I didn't suspect my wife of BPD until after the wedding, when the small disagreements and arguments became extreme and her mood swings unpredictable & hard to explain. She's now in a low self-esteem depression. I want to help but first I want to keep myself from being dragged down with her. I definitely want to stay in the marriage -- it's very recent, less than a year old. Anyway, that's me checking in.

Hi Brano,

glad you are checking in. And yes, please stay the course - your well being is paramount. Helping her is not so simple and naive helping often can be be invalidating and enabling. Education is key to know how to spend your effort in a way that actually has a positive impact. A good starting point are the LESSONS (sticky topic at the top of the board).

*welcome*,
