Title: Can you recommend a therapist who will skype?
Post by: newfreedom on April 16, 2010, 01:55:45 PM
Dear friends,

I just posted this over at the resource board, but I know many of you folks and some of you have talked about being in T with therapists who are trained to work with adult survivors of borderline parents, or adult survivors of the mentally ill.    Literally all of the therapists with whom I have ever worked, and there have been many, interract with me as though my foo was "garden variety" dysfunctional.     The big issue for me is that because I live in a country where it is impossible to find a trained T,  I need a referral with a T who is willing to do skype sessions.    If you know of such a T, I would appreciate the info, thanks in advance,  You can also pm me, nf

Skype is downloaded from their website and enables you to talk and see, through your computer screen, the other person...you have to have a web camera (mine is in my laptop) in order to see the other.   If you don't have a web camera, then you can talk through skype, just like on the telephone, only the calls are free.    If you have ever watched Oprah, you have probably seen how it works because she interviews folks using skype frequently.
