Title: Family Connections Post by: cfh on January 10, 2013, 07:18:31 AM So dh and I went to the first meeting of the Family Connections course. We went around the room and each one told their story. We had decided in advance that I would be the one to talk so I told the story of ds29 and BPD. When I was finished I turned to my dh and asked "did I leave anything out?" He laughed and said "yes about 15 years". That got a chuckle out of the group.
It was interesting. Most in the group seem to have much higher functioning pwBPD. Like they are in med school, or getting their PhD or they are an accomplished musician or about to graduate from Columbia... . so when I ended my story that ds is in jail it felt a little weird. But I think it's going to be a good course. |
