Title: therapy and try again.
Post by: mnwushu89 on January 12, 2013, 11:43:58 PM
So some of you may have seen my post about therapy for us nons and if anyone had success and what not. Well I had my first session today and can tell that the therapist and I won't mix. He has no idea what BPD is or not to the extent I think would be most beneficial for me. I made some phone calls today to some other clinics that specifically deal with BPD so hopefully I will cofind one. Just have to stay the course  |iiii

On another note my emotions have gone from sad to ok to indifferent about my situation which all came to a head this week. Is that "normal"

Hey Mnwushu89,

It seems the norm for emotions to be all over the map for folks that are detaching, I can go from sad to ok to indifferent all in a day sometimes.  The general path is feeling overall better for longer times.

I hope you find a counselor that is a good match.  Mine doesn't treat people with BPD, she is a trauma specialist though and it's worked out well for me.
