Title: Macabre Post by: johnnyonthespot on January 13, 2013, 07:33:49 PM My ex-BPD-gf was fascinated with dark shows or movies, such as dexter, nip/tuck, American horror story. So much so that it used to spook me a little (pun intended).
Did anyone else observe this? Title: Re: Macabre Post by: myself on January 13, 2013, 08:00:55 PM Yes. Kind of creepy. Doesn't mean it = BPD, but, yes, I noticed this too.
Title: Re: Macabre Post by: Take2 on January 13, 2013, 08:41:49 PM Omg... . I told my ex that he reminded me of Dexter and he said someone else told him that once... . disturbing... .
Coincidence with BPD... . but really? Far scarier... . especially knowing... . he does wish death on people he hates without joking. He is capable of pretty scary stuff In HIS mind he stands up for the little guy who might get picked on (ie Dexter) but in reality his anger is not saved for bad guys. He can fight, he can shoot like nobody's business (accuracy and wins shooting matches)... . Potentially very scary stuff... Title: Re: Macabre Post by: Lady31 on January 14, 2013, 12:44:00 AM I love crime shows. And I mean love! From murder mysteries, to serial killers, rapists, etc. I watch Investigation Discovery around the clock. I think I missed my passion to be a detective or FBI agent. :)
My BPDh hates these shows and hates that I watch them. He even has made comments several times that I was trying to learn how to kill him and get away with it - usually jokingly, but I could tell he felt some sort of uneasiness. He also says this in front of other people. ? Probably no correlation between this & BPD. Just probably more frightening when they have BPD bc they seem to be two different people and this furthers the fear in the non of what else they may be capable of. |
