Title: Calming Therapy / Core wounds Post by: stoic83 on January 22, 2013, 07:29:41 PM Hey guys... . I just went in for some therapy and it helped a lot:) Maybe my sister has BPD... . she attempted suicide in teens and has I love myself tatooed on her wrist... . that is pretty extreme right? Well I cried for a bit... . but my T is a kind and understanding woman so that went well.
This relationship definitely opened up a lot of core wounds for me... . Im trying to understand why I kept continuing this relationship... . but am hoping for some radical acceptance... . Is anybody else super defensive right now? Lol. I come from a pretty dysfunctional family. Thanks for your patience and support... . this is a rough time:) And sorry for seeming selfish and angry I have something like compassion fatigue... . from trying to be an informed caretaker Title: Re: Calming Therapy / Core wounds Post by: united for now on January 25, 2013, 06:44:30 PM Re-opening childhood wounds is painful.
It is also how to move beyond them so they can't hurt you anymore Radical acceptance will bring peace to you. It teaches you to rethink your life story, not to change it, but to shift how you view it. It's a process though, not an event, so while you may accept some aspects others will still bother you. |
