Title: Oh Crap I have fleas
Post by: theodore on January 25, 2013, 05:24:58 PM
While I was preparing my breakfast this morning, I accidentally dropped a very small piece of food on the floor.  As I reached to pick it up, I heard my inner voice say that this small accident must somehow be the fault of my roommate.  I was shocked to catch  myself thinking like this.  It obviously has nothing to do with my roommate.  It must be fleas that I've picked up from by STBX uBPDw of 26 years.

How many times have I allowed such thoughts to pass unexamined?

This is incredibly insightful.  I assume this is the thought process my STBX uBPDw uses all the time.  If the littlest thing goes wrong, immediately she must place the blame on someone else because she cannot bear to accept it.  I can see how easy it is and how it can become a learned behavior that is quickly repeated without thinking.

The question is why do we pick up fleas? And also, why are they sometimes latent to become evident and latent again... .

to catch  myself thinking like this.

Awesome awareness! I believe that this level of awareness is over half way there in getting rid of the darn things! -  my-issues

Well done on catching yourself!
