Title: Surprising change
Post by: Foreverhopefull on February 01, 2013, 06:26:16 AM
Last night dBPDh and I were looking at the flyers and talking about everything and nothing when out of the blue he said:"BTW, just so you know, I'm not doing anything for Valentine's day". I couldn't help but laugh.

Thing is, if I remember right, the last time we did anything for Valentine's day was over 10 years ago. I was not expecting anything, but it was nice that he thought about the possibility of me being hurt about it. He hasn't paid any attention to my feelings in years. It was great to feel (I hate to say this but... .  ) "normal". It also wan't followed by anything negative like "because I'm not spending your money" (since he's not working and not receiving any money) or anything else of the sort. It was just said out of the blue and then the conversation went back to everything and nothing. I didn't want to make a fuss about it, I didn't want to "ruin" that moment.

I'm my view he's come a long way since he started his therapy. It's so great to get bursts of energy and hope.
