They like what you like, easy for a person to do when they don't have a stable sense of self and few solid likes and dislikes. Then it's feels engulfing when they've taken on so much of another's personality. Then everything can become an argument as they cast off your likes as contemptable.

They are at war with themselves between abandonment and engulfment. When the engulfment feelings become overwhelming, devalue of the partner soon follows.
