Title: If you live in Washington State and are NC Post by: Deb on February 07, 2013, 12:24:06 PM You may want to contact your elected reps because there is a bill, HB 1506, to grant visitation to grandparents. Currently, "third parties" have to prove they have/had a relationship to a child. This bill would just give grandparents the right to visit. I am horrified. My sister did horrible things to her kids, including things thast are considered torture. Under this bill, she could potential be granted visitation to her 5 of her 6 grandchildren. The 6th is going to be 21 soon and has shown no interest in getting to know her. These kids range in age from 3 to 13. My sister lost her right to visit them when she abused her kids. Now the state wants to give it to her and over ride their mother's wishes? This is SOO wrong. I did write to all three of my elected reps. My two state reps and my state senator.
