Title: is this related
Post by: afterdeath on February 15, 2013, 09:04:15 AM
I know there's a thread some where on here about dreams already but I need to vent.

It's been seven months... .  And I swear I still dream every single night about her. Dreams of her coming back or being together again like nothing ever happened. This triggers me to start my recovery every morning when I wake up.

My dreams used to be related to things that were going to happen in the future, but I think this may be related to ptsd.

The dreams cause me to ruminate big time. Thoughts? Any one else experiencing this?

Ye I dream about her quite a lot, its quite upsetting and disturbing. They can be anything from her crawling back to me and us getting back togeather, to me finding out she is pregnant with her new boyfriend and feeling devastated.

I also clench my jaw a lot in the sleep and wake up with throbbing painfull teeth

I had dreams before things took their final turn for the worse. In the she was angry and extremely aggressive and hostile. They didn't make much sense to me at the time, but they're dead-on accurate now.

I had a rape dream (I was the one being raped) about my most recent one.

I still have the occasional dream about the BPD from 2 years ago.

I have them, too. Mine generally aren't during the long night 'REM' sleep (or I just don't remember them), but when I take an afternoon cat nap. I avoid those at all costs for now. It's either some form of re-living a break up, or that she's missing, and the dream is a frantic search to find her. Either way, I wake up more exhausted and upset than before I closed my eyes.
