Title: Injustice Collector Post by: BetterDays4Me on February 15, 2013, 07:19:45 PM I was recently reading about Christopher Dorner and that it was speculated that he had NPD. In the article someone referred to him as an "Injustice Collector." While I had never heard that phrase before it really hit home. My uBPDm could very much be considered an Injustice Collector. I googled the term and came up with a lot of interesting material. I thought I would share this because it gave me some validation (https://bpdfamily.com/content/communication-skills-validation) and has given me strength to stay NC with her. I would imagine others here will recognize their pwBPD in the traits below... .
Injustice Collectors are Hypersensitive to Unfairness “Collectors” are not psychotic, rather are best classified as suffering from one of a number of borderline personality disorders. There are specific symptoms that help assess Injustice Collectors: a belief that that they are virtually never wrong; inability to apologize; a feeling of moral and ethical superiority compared to others; they make the rules and consequently can violate the rules in the family; inability to assess themselves as not normal; different rules and expectations for others that are not applied to the self; over-rationalization of one’s behavior; over-reaction to even small injustices. The condition can exist in differing degrees, but careful consideration of the symptoms reveals the possibility for violent behavior since Injustice Collectors are inclined to be misfits in society. When people feel widely separated from others in their world and make their own rules, they are more likely to behave irrationally. Title: Re: Injustice Collector Post by: mosaicbird on February 19, 2013, 12:10:37 PM That sounds a bit like the "truth owning" part of OCPD (Obsessive-Compulsive Personality Disorder/Maladaptive Perfectionism).
