Defiance, anger, danger The call for help from a lost parent Falling on the deaf ears of the law Drugs. illegal no care for rules The call for help from a lost parent Falling again on the deaf ears of the law A knife a throat, a stab towards a fearful mother The call for help from a now lost and helpless parent Again falling on the deaf ears of the law Running, darkness no where to be found A call for help from a parent who feels failure Deaf ears of the law still sealed A lost soul in the child’s eyes, depression, disorders A parents desperate plea Falling on deaf ears of medical science Cutting blood dripping then drying yet staining til next time A parents desperate plea and cries for help Yet again falling on the deaf ears of medical science No fear, strangers cars in the cover of night The call for help from this helpless parent is now full of anger Still falling on deaf ears of the law When will they listen? When will someone care? When my daughter is pregnant? When my daughter is hooked on heavy drugs? When my daughter is raped by the internet stranger she begs to pick her up in the dark night? So many roadblocks at every turn... . from doctors, hospitals, the law. We as parents can't do it all and our dear children are all too often incapable of helping themselves. Though I think if one is has money, or fame or is influential then things get done. |
