Everything will be okay

Here's the quote that got me through my split with my BPDh:

Some people believe holding on and hanging in there are signs of great strength. However, there are times when it takes much more strength to know when to let go and then do it.”

" in this moment, I choose to value myself more than the other person"

"Confrontation can not continue without my participation"

"Letting go is the natural release that follows the realization that holding on hurts"

"you must weed the wrong people out of your life, if you don't want to miss the rights ones when they come your way"

β€œThe human mind isn't a terribly logical or consistent place. Most people, given the choice to face a hideous or terrifying truth or to conveniently avoid it, choose the convenience and peace of normality. That doesn't make them strong or weak people, or good or bad people. It just makes them people.”

― Jim Butcher, Turn Coat

I found this while trying to find a favourite quote on denial which basically says that denial keeps us safe from harm; it keeps us safe from facing the unbearable pain of the truth... .  or something like that.

My favourite is from Ghandi. " Live simply so others may simply live. ". Puts things in perspective for me.
