Title: BPD Post by: buli on March 16, 2013, 05:19:06 PM Im glad to be reaching out for support. My niece has been diagnosed BPD and had made her third suicide attempt in 3 months. My sister and her family are in great need of support.  :)oes anyone know of support for my niece and my sister in or around Aurora, IL? My niece is only 21 but the last few years have been so hard and I am really worried about my sister too. My niece has been in and out of the hospital, and then right back to the same situation, crisis after crisis. Are there any long term residential programs covered by disability to help? Thanks to all. We're accepting prayers too!

I'm so sorry to hear your going through all of this with your niece. Suicide attempts are very scary and heartbreaking. I don't know what is available in your area specifically but this organization is in your area and can help you with local questions: the link is here www.search.yahoo.com/search?ei=utf-8&fr=slv8-yie9&p=nami%20aurora%20il&type= Nami -Info namidkk.org (630) 896-6264 -400 Mercy Ln, Aurora, IL. This suicide workshop has some very valuable information as well: TOOLS: Dealing with threats of Suicide and Suicide Attempts (https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?topic=79032.0) There are many members here dealing with a family member with BPD and can be very helpful with what you're dealing with. How are you and your sister coping with all of this? Your emotional well being is equally important. Is your niece in therapy now? |
