Title: New Members need a kind word
Post by: lbjnltx on March 21, 2013, 08:37:53 PM
Hello Moms and Dads |iiii

When you have a few moments to spare will you check the New Members Board (https://bpdfamily.com/message_board/index.php?board=5.0) for newbies needing a greeting, kind word, hug and validation (https://bpdfamily.com/content/communication-skills-validation)?  Feel free to greet other newbies with designations other than CD as well.

Thanks, you are all awesome!

Thank you for posting this.  And for all the senior members (and others) who ensure that the newbies are heard.  It can seem very daunting, and I write this from the perspective of a person who (thinks she) feels relatively emotionally strong. I have very much valued those kind words.

I will try to make it a goal to sat hello and you are among friends to at least one new person a week, if not more.  Also, I have a fair amount of knowledge about psych drugs so I will do my best to offer info to those who are seeking guidance on what questions they might ask their pdocs if meds are part of the treatment.

All the best, and tons of thanks for the support and care.

Great idea and as a new member, something I wouldn't have probably thought of doing on my own  |iiii!  Thanks for the suggestion!

As a new member **points to post-count**, a welcoming mat is very appreciated.

To all the members here, you guys are great.  There is just so much information on these boards and so much support.

Thanks!
