Title: Flowers sent to work - but not from her.
Post by: mango_flower on March 26, 2013, 02:34:40 PM
I got a phonecall at work from reception today.  A box was there for me.  OMG how familiar did that sound - I was ALWAYS getting flowers from my ex... . I was the envy of my staffroom.

I went down there and sure enough - flowers.

I know they weren't from her.

a) She is engaged and happy with her new partner.

b) Different delivery company than she would have used.

c) She has no money at the moment AT ALL.

d) They just weren't her style in choice.

They were red roses, so not just friendship flowers.

My heart was in my mouth - I did NOT WANT them to be from her.  Card just said "Xx" and that was all.

I have no idea who they are from.

But even though I didn't want them to be from her, I was so devastatingly sad that they weren't.  It felt so wrong.

I shoved them back in the box, kicked them under my desk and cried my eyes out whilst my poor work colleagues looked totally and utterly confused.

I just feel such mixed emotions and not really sure about anything anymore.
