Miller, PsyD Post by: blackandwhite on December 10, 2011, 08:36:07 AM Date: Nov-2012(https://bpdfamily.com/book-covers/spacer.gif)Minutes: 56:40 Alec L. Miller, PsyD | October 18-19, 2008 Minneapolis, MN I haven't watched this one but thought I'd post it as a reference. If anyone does watch it, do share your impressions. It is from 2008 so not quite as current as the other one. I have not been visiting my dd24 in the hospital because of how it upsets me. But now I have a better reason: that it reinforces her getting attention, people visiting her, when she ends up there for another suicide attempt.

Wow! This needs to be at the top of the Supporting a Son or Daughter board if not already. This needs to be at the top of the Supporting a Son or Daughter board if not already. That is exactly where I took it from. :) I think it is valuable to us parents who are helping in the raising of a child whose other parent has a mental illness. There seems to be a common fear surrounding our own children developing/exhibiting BPD traits/behavior. It explains it really well what "normal acting out" is in comparison to "BPD acting out". I gained so much insight from this video about BPD behavior... . it really, really spoke to me. I'm so glad you took the time to watch, mamachelle! (I know it's kinda long) DG |
