Title: therapy question
Post by: Johan on April 09, 2013, 06:32:17 AM
After therapy and off medication my x was very emotional.

She had told me stories of childhood from therapy, and also she does not recall some of her previous emotional episodes from the previous year or so.

We discussed these recently and she has no memory of the emotional outbursts and crying or childhood story she would have discussed with her T. She had mentioned it briefly to me. She says she is fine now, but I am unsure.

Is it normal to deal with a specific event in childhood with a a T. Mention it to a spouse, then 1year later have no recollection of mentioning it to a spouse or infact any memory of the story at all. I'm left scratching my head.

What is she diagnosed with?

All sorts of things can affect memory. Has she been through ECT (electroconvulsive therapy)? Is she on any medications?

This should probably on the other board.

I am unsure about therapy and off medication many months.
