Gd brougth a string of prayer flags up from the basement this morning. Assume DD got these at the local university operated by the Buddhist community. They have a free thrift store. We hung it across our living room wall and read the affirmative prayers together. She chose the blue flag.

These can be prayed by one from any spiritual belief or religious practice. I really needed this today. The statements also follow the path of needs pyramids.

Red flag: I am safe. I trust more. I fear less. I am centered and grounded.

Orange: I feel my emotions and my pain. I reqwaken my passion. I surrender to this moment.

Yellow: I am courgeous. I am whole. I stand in my power.

Green: I am loved; I let love in. I am kind to myself. I live in peace and gratitude.

Blue: I play in my imagination. I create my reality. I know and share my truth.

Purple: I honor my intuition, I accept my path. I am healing: body, mind, and spirit.

Lavendar: I connect with Spirit. I invite sacred transformation. I embrace the unity of all beings.

May the blessings of God's love envelope each of us today.

I have prayer flags at my holiday house, fluttering in the wind. The have worn away to almost nothing now... .   maybe need some new ones!

I do not know if all prayer flags mean the same as is printed on these. But they are very uplifting for me, and opened interesting conversations with gd -- new words for her.

ahhh, my prayer flags are written in Tibetan script or something like that... .   I can't read them   

Quiet house this morning. Dh off to work. DD gone for weekend in town. Gd on her first overnight playdate (and no distress calls  :)). So I sat and listened for God and read my prayer flag messages - these affirmations for my soul. I noticed the pond lily that opened a liitle more with each progression from red to lavender where it was floating open with new shoots. For now, and that is all I have is this moment, I am at peace.

Dh has agreed to put little hooks in the wall (and he dislikes holes in the walls) to permanently display our prayers in the main living space. Ahhhhh... .   our night alone was good. Did nothing special, just sat together and did what the usual reading and TV. Walked the dogs and let them run in the open space.
