Title: C.R.A.Z.Y.
Post by: cherrybabi_1 on April 13, 2013, 01:32:04 PM
So, my brother just informed me that mother is convinced that all three is her children are trying to have her killed! She called him at work screaming that he needs to get on his knees and repent for what we are trying to do to her, HUH? She tells him that she knows that we are trying to have her killed! I laughed all night over this one. I didn’t even faze me; I mean we don’t even talk to her! It’s been years since my sister and I have cut her completely off…CRAZY. Has anyone else experienced this type of crazy nonsense?

My brother is the only child of mother that can't break the abusive tie with her and he is miserable. She gives him his does of abuse plus my sister and mines, because she can't contact us. I don't know how to help him, because I have no issues with being NC with her. He lives 2 states away from her, but he is still her whipping post, poor ass!

Oh Cherrybabi, what drama. You and your sibs must be exhausted. My guess is that she has formulated that this will get your attention and is trying to get you back in the game (victim, persecutor, rescuer). These folks with this disorder don't know how to reach out appropriately, but the problem (IMO) with responding to something crazy like this is that it will reinforce outlandish behavior. My BPD mom once accused my dear husband of some illegal activity, and for me that was the last straw. I can't have loved ones feeling like they have to defend themselves from nonsense.

If NC is working, my advice is continue, and realize that if you do respond to something outlandish, it will heighten the likelihood of more of the same. There isn't any chance of a more schizophrenic problem is there? If there was, she may get worse without care and medication.
