I definitely notice that between February and June my SO has a huge amount of struggle each year.

I also notice it in December, first an excitement for the holidays and then I pick up on the mood changes positive, negative, positive, negative, makes for an interesting holiday season.

Right now I am in the period where he is struggling.

I know this to be true from our correspondance, all messages where he has had significant mood alterations and changes in desires then a burst of happiness, happens same time every year, this time of year.

Can anyone else share their experience?

The dark months of the year always seemed a problem to my stbxw. From oct untill mar she had more troubles than in the rest of the year. Spring and summer she would go outside and be happier.

Can identify with elements of this, almost like clockwork every end March/April my stbexw would flare up in a crisis over nothing and question the whole relationship, out of 13 years, this happended about 10.

One year I even remarked in May that she hadn't gone off on one during April (before I knew about BPD).  I'm not sure why this would be a trigger more than any other birthdays or special events... .   and I don't care to know any longer, she prob won't know either, it just was... .

I, too, can relate. Like VeryScared related, my H also loves the outdoors. He is uncomfortable around crowds, social events, holidays, etc. Beginning with Thanksgiving up through Easter and then some, it's pretty tense in our house. It's almost like the whole late fall/winter part of the year, he is dark and moody. When it's warmer, and holidays are on the down low, he's somewhat better.
