Title: Best article to help family understand BPD?
Post by: mrshyde on May 01, 2013, 05:32:43 PM
In the process of ending marriage to uBPDh. My family will likely be shocked, as he is high functioning and is Dr. Jekyll around them. There are tons of articles on this board. Can anyone recommend that really explains the disorder to someone who hasn't lived it?

I don't think there is just 1 article that can do this... .  most folks simply cannot quite understand if they have not lived it and the clinical parts - article 2 - seem a bit too clinical.

I find personal experience works best, some specific events in your life that aligns with the clinical parts in article 2 - does that make sense?
