Title: Text Talk And pwBPD
Post by: Willingtolearn on May 02, 2013, 02:23:13 PM
We all know that pwBPD react like a child. However did anyone experience the following.  When i use to recieve text messages from my exBPDgf, the spelling she used for the text message was the way that children and young people would text each other. If she used the word "This" she would spell it "tis" or the word "because" she would use "coz". There where also other examples of the way she spelt words that young people would use. The lady in question was 50 years of age.

I found it strange she did this.

The reason i asked the question, was because i have texts from many people both male & female in the age bracket from 40 to 50 years of age. None of them have BPD and none of them spell the words on a text like my exBPDgf did.

I just found it a little strange to why she spelt words like a youngster would.

My ex BPD had 6 kids, she's intimidated by the older ones, considers her 17 year old daughter her best friend, with zero boundaries, and relates to her 15 year old son as an equal.  And yes, she texts like a teenager and loves Eminem.  All told, along with things she said, she reminds me of a teenager emotionally, which is common for BPD, although she parrots "adult" very well.  My lessons include being far more present next time, calling her on obvious attempts at manipulation, talking about instead of ignoring red flags; if I'd done all that with her, I would have left early.  Live and learn.
