Title: Missing something I never had.
Post by: VeryFree on May 06, 2013, 05:25:32 AM
A couple of days ago I had a nice day and was driving home. At that moment I was thinking about how nice it would be if I could tell about my day and about my feelings when I came home. Talking to a SO as very close friends... . Listening to what her day was like. Like I used to…

At that moment I realised that I never had this: a big problem in our r/s was me telling about the things in my life: good things were ignored or led to arguements. Bad things she seemed to like of made them of herself. It was always about her!

She never was my friend. I think she wanted to be, but she didn’t succeed.

I tried to be hers, but didn’t succeed either I think. So putting it together: I didn’t have a close friend in a decade, but it looks like I’m missing that friend only now, after the break-up.

Probably the marriage-battle has put me off my basic-needs. Now I’m on my own, things calm down (I calm down) and my basic needs seem to pop up. Interesting.
