Title: Crazy Making Behavior at Work Post by: Bananas on May 13, 2013, 06:23:26 PM I am new here. I am in a unique situation as I work with my PDexbf and need to maintain a professional relationship with him. It was suggested that I post on this board as I want to keep my job and not go crazy. I want to be able to get along with him professionally, that is my goal.
So I told my ex that our communication is to be work related only. So now he is making up work related reasons to contact me such as: -calling or emailing me questions that I know he knows the answers to -calling me or emailing questions that he can easily ask his neighbor -making up questions about imaginary work scenarios that don't exist -trying to involve me on work projects "at the request of the boss" when the boss never made such request In addition he calls 10-15 times a day but will never leave a message. My T told me to let my phone go to voice mail when he calls. She told me to keep reminding him that our communication is to be work related but that is just it, he tries to make it all work related when it is not. Do you think he will get it eventually and stop? Do I call him on his behavior? Any advice would be appreciated. So far I have been answering his questions in a very short professional manner. Once I answer he will often try to steer the exchange to personal matters which I then ignore. Day by day it is getting worse, not better. |
