Title: Being Thankiful Post by: ScotisGone74 on May 19, 2013, 08:36:28 PM With all the hurt, sadness, confusion, anger that we wind up feeling at one time or another I hope everyone on here can find something they can still be thankful for having today. I'm thankful I've got a chance to get things right, to not have to argue and bicker constantly, to love someone I can actually trust, to not have to worry about being someone's caretaker, for the opportunity to be able to get up in the morning and not have to worry about what major catastrophe am I going to have fend off today. Look at your life right now, what are you thankful for?
Write it down, put it on your fridge, smile, repeat tommorrow. Its a long and winding road, but the ride gets better, I promise. Peace Title: Re: Being Thankiful Post by: MindfulMan on May 20, 2013, 12:01:38 AM Even though I'm alone, I'm thankful my energy is not consumed by my exBPDgf.
I am thankful I am alive and breathing, every day. I am thankful that, even though I miss her, I can breathe again and regain my power. I am thankful that I can now learn to love myself, without losing myself. I am thankful for this site and all the friends int he BPD Family community. What a great post. Thank you for reminding me that despite everything I've been through, there is always some positive aspect of the situation. I am thankful: - that I was able to wake up today and get myself out of bed without having to drag my feet or force myself. - that I could wake up and not look at my ex's sites to see how he has been doing. - that it never got to the point where I was physically abused, or married him. Things could've been a lot worse. - to be surrounded by great family and friends who have been very supportive. - to have people around who believe in me so much. - to be able to come here and talk to all of you. - to still be able to hold my head up high and know that I did everything I could to help him. |
