Title: Post natal depression
Post by: heronbird on May 22, 2013, 03:38:19 AM
Does anyone know the statistics of people with BPD getting post natal depression? I keep trying to google it, Id love to know if its 50% or 10% or what.

There is another thing they call Psychosis after having a baby, gosh. So sad. Id just like to know and how long after the birth would all this stuff happen.

I am sorry I don't know much about this topic but I was wondering if you would feel better if your dd would do a check in with you everyday or weekly? You could have a rank between 1 and 5 and she could text you the number every evening or morning tell you how her mood was... . is that something she might do for you to help you relieve your worry? Maybe just once a week even just so you had an idea of how she was coping? Just a thought... .

Hi, Thanks,

I will be seeing her every day probably for the first couple of weeks, then after that i should think quite regularly and be in contact every day.

Im not worried, the clinicians worried me a little saying that it is common for them to get post natal depression.

I just wondered what the stats were for that, thats all.

Getting so excited now. Shes getting grumpy phew!
