Title: Should I be worried? Post by: looking4peace on June 10, 2013, 05:41:31 AM Hi,
It has been a couple of years since I have posted but I would really appreciate some advice.I have been undecided on whether I will stay or go for the past 2 years (actually probably longer than that). Anyway, to cut a very long story short, my husband of 18 years is on the mood stabiliser called seroquel for BPD. He was seeing a therapist but he has now left the practice so my husband isn't seeing anyone now (and doesn't believe he needs to). The seroquel probably helps with the frequency of the rages. He goes into a rage every couple or months (sometimes less). He has just found out that he has diabetes and high cholesterol and our GP wants him to go off his meds within the next 3 weeks! I am very worried about how he is going to handle this and also worried about my kids ( 12 and 15). They have been through so much already. Has anyone had a similar experience? What should I expect and should I be worried? Title: Re: Should I be worried? Have you considered a second opinion re: how his meds for BPD will impact on diabetes and cholesterol treatment? As you probably know meds are only part of the treatment program for BPD - have you noticed a difference since he stopped therapy? |
