Title: Dealing Humorously With Passive/Aggresive Facebook Post Post by: joleeboo on June 26, 2013, 10:19:02 AM So its been a long time since I posted. Things are going well here. I have learned a lot. Mostly that the silent treatment for me and my family from my UBPD sis in law means Peace!
I have set lots of boundries which have kept us safe somewhat from more turmoil. Every now and then my enmeshed mother in law will tag me or post a passive aggressive post. I laugh and every now and then my good friend or friends will see and ask what did you do now-- joking of course. I just wish I had some humorus comebacks to the things she post. Title: Re: Dealing Humorously With Passive/Aggresive Facebook Post Post by: hoping4hope on June 26, 2013, 12:08:53 PM Humor is very important, because it puts the accusations in perspective. For example, I was accused by a BPD of marrying just to get a modest house, to which I responded absolutely not... . if I was going to sell my body for a house, it would be for a much nicer house. I do have standards after all.
I'm not on facebook, so I don't get posted on. Sometimes I hear about postings on the BPD's pages. I do wonder about starting a slander suit, however, that would be engaging the BPD's and I find leaving them alone is best, eventually they get bored and move on to someone else. In terms of humorous comebacks, the only thing I can think of is posting a bhity post back but that'd just get a big argument going so it's probably not the best idea!
Title: Re: Dealing Humorously With Passive/Aggresive Facebook Post Post by: hoping4hope on June 26, 2013, 01:56:36 PM True. But don't you get tired of having to filter your words to their problems? Must every word, thought and expression always be about them? Isn't part of BPD - that the world revolves around them and isn't editing our every thought just validating that misconception?
Sometimes don't you just want to live, and speak and laugh and be who you are. I've had BPD's in my life all my life and why do they get to define every conversation? Are their lives, as they believe, truly so much more important than ours? |
