I'm thinking of purchasing "the Buddha and the borderline" to really understand what went on in my exBPDs mind. Has anyone on here read it if so what are your opinions on the book? What does the book discuss in terms of BPDs and relationships?

Can I also suggest you read some books to help you move forward too - like The Journey from Abandonment to Healing - Susan Anderson, MSW (https://bpdfamily.com/book-reviews/journey-from-abandonment-to-healing)

We need to balance our knowledge Deleted and not just focus on the Borderline - all the answers are not there!

Of course I've done a lot of internal working and fine tuning what I did wrong, why I stayed. I would gladly read anything that would supplement my own healing. What's your opinion on journey from abandonment to healing?  If you don't mind me asking.

As I wrote earlier, The Buddha and the Borderline took away my false hope.  It gave me some understanding that I was lacking.  I can't guarantee this will happen for everyone but it "clicked" for me. 

I've also done six months of therapy with some notable experts in the field of BPD. 

Do I still have some issues I need to work on?  Yes.  Am I thinking about her all the time?  No.  I have other things to do that are more beneficial.   |iiii

I appreciated Buddha and the Borderline.  It made a contribution to my process.  I think it did so because I was informed and inspired by part of her own journey.  It did not provide much insight into my former partner as they are quite dissimilar.
