Title: the sun is shining again
Post by: Silkroad on July 19, 2013, 04:24:36 PM
I am posting to share my joy to you all that my efforts at using the tools and reading/posting here has helped me a lot. My H suspect BPD has spoken to me after good 5 months. I never experienced him being so bad for this long, we spoke through text occasionally, but we live under the same roof and looking after 2 small children. OOur newborn daughter's birth (who is almost 6 months) is one of the triggers of his inability to cope with a relationship. I am very happy, just able to see and know it is a illness help so much to understand his behaviour and comments. He has even accepted me back on his facebook page! through out this time he has worked as normal and also finished another semester of his second master degree - and has told me some of his marks where above 70, 78 in fact if you understand the British educational system. Well I am happy, planning to take life as normal but know now things are okish in his brain... . have already planned a 2 days escape with kids to a seaside town visiting a friend, he doesn't want to go, obviously too difficult for him to socialize but allowed us to go without any problems. And is very keen to go on holiday for 2 weeks in the end of August(me booking and organizing everything) Although i am not able to have my emotional needs met in this relationship, once you know you are dealing with an illness it makes it all so much more bearable. Its not a piece of cake, that is why i wanted to write here because you all have been supporting me throughout my roller coaster hide of life with this problem, you have always been there for me! So thank you, ( but i am sure i will be back soon

To know what the task is and to have some tools to work with means you can make progress. It is the sense of direction that gives you that relief.

I know my partner is unlikely to ever be "cured' but making progress brings about great rewards. The journey is often more rewarding than the destination
