Title: Object Constancy?
Post by: Ittookthislong on July 26, 2013, 07:10:09 PM
Can someone explain to me the concept of object contancy, im having difficulty grasping it. maybe by comparing what "healthy" is as opposed to the trait seen in BPD... .

Sometimes I wish there was a test on how psychologically healthy and sane you are rather than just ones to diagnose personality disorders. All this reading is starting to mix me up.

Have you read this thread, in particular reply #5 by Skip?

My take on unhealthy vs. healthy forms of object constancy really has to do with awareness and the ability to have a emotionally balanced view of the object in question, mainly people in our cases.
